Craziness...

Almost Christmas.. so crazy. It doesn't feel like Christmas at all, but I am on track now. Finished my shopping today with my friend, Chantel. Just have to wrap and get them tucked away under the tree.

Still trying to do some baking. Need to start some as soon as I am done posting this as I am heading to visit some friends and I want to take some for a Chrissy-mas present, but I didn't realize how long it had been since I had posted until my friend, Mandy, texted me today... a lot. ;)

So my 4th month of drawing is going to be.... quotes.
I read quotes on a daily basis on my Twitter feed and on my Facebook, so I am going to take some of the ones I like and post them here with some doodles around them.

Most of my quotes are from @AffirmYourLife and @Inspire_Us on Twitter. And Oprah's Facebook page. And Soul Pancake, which if you have never checked out... you should... just saying.

Day 93:

Nothing really to say about most of them. The quotes are what they are and I tried to draw something associated with it.
 Day 94:

Love, love, love this quote... (multiplied by forever)
 Day 95:
 Day 96:

I think people think I am weird and I think I am weird... but that is ok.
 Day 97:

 Day 98:

I little sloppy, but was trying to get a lot done yesterday while working both jobs, when I thought I only worked one. Haha go me.
Day 99:

And just after celebrating 3 months of drawing..

tomorrow will be 100 days! Holy moley!

Well, I, for sure this time, only work one job tomorrow. So in between wrapping presents, baking, cleaning and going out to check the mail, I will draw an extra special quote.

Tuesday 13 December 2011

Whoa!

Everyday for 3 months!! Crazy. So crazy. I am proud of myself but astonished at the same time. I have drawn something everyday for a quarter of a year.

Now I have to think of a new theme... by tomorrow. (grumble)

 Day 90:

A morning glory. I feel as if I am in the morning of the rest of my life. Starting slightly new, kind of fresh. So much ahead of me.
 Day 91:

A poppy. Drew this mainly as I was Christmas shopping and my mom loves poppies. So they stuck out in all the stores.

I have always been quite exceptional at remembering what people like and then it just seems to pop out everywhere I shop. I pride myself in that.
Day 92:

Don't really know what I was trying to make of this one. Distracted by tea and a movie. And trying to think of a new subject for the next 30 days.

Hmmm....

(ponder ponder)

Doodles..

So lately, my flowers have just been doodles after my day's at work. No real meaning, just doodles. I didn't really want to do anything after work, but I, at least, drew.

 Day 86:
 Day 87:
 Day 88:
Day 89:

Holey Moley! I am coming up to 3 months. And so close to 100 days of drawing. I should start thinking of a new theme for the next month.

Hmm... (ponder ponder)

Broken...

These days were rough. I felt broken and saddened and tired. First full week of work in a year and it was every day. Crazy.

Finally had enough of being walked on by some people so I voiced my pain and one person didn't take it well apparently.

‎"Be who you are and say how you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"
Dr. Seuss

She minded....

Anyways,

Day 82:

A broken flower for a broken girl.

Day 83:

A little sad flower for losing a friend. 5 years, but I do not need a friend who treats me the way she has or angers when you voice your concerns.

Day 84:

A new beginning, new growth and new blooms.

Day 85:

Attempting to draw a rose. A flower of beauty and love. Eventually my roses will actually look like roses and not just blobs of scribbles. :)

<3 Nicole

Back at 'er..

Life has been a tad bit crazy. I have been working every single day for the past two weeks, and I don't have a day off until Christmas Day.
I lost a friend, not in death but still sad, last week. I have learned many lessons lately and one of them, is art is what I love and I need to do it even when life gets me down.

Day 79:

I googled a flower of freedom and a lily came off so I drew it. It was my last day of somewhat freedom, before I started my second job.
 Day 80:

So I started my second job this day. So I drew a dying flower. I go from one job to the next with half an hour between. It's crazy but it's good.
Day 81:

A flower of technology. My second job consists of working with computer techs and on computers.

Sorry

My drawings has been kind of fallen by the way-side. So sorry, trying to get back at it.
Getting back into the work force with 2 jobs and saddening life matter has put some delays.

See you as soon as possible.

And the last two days...

 Day 77:

The beautiful Lotus flower. I have always been fascinated by the way they grow. To manage to bloom to such beauty after going through such an ugly place.
Day 78:

The Lily-of-the-Valley. I had never even heard of them until I move into my first apartment with my best friend and they were growing outside of the place. And now I love them. :)

<3 Nicole

Work

After 11 months of not working, I now have two jobs. And with starting both of them for December, it's going to be a busy month. So I will try to keep up as much as possible.

One is selling jewelry, body jewelry and purses. The other job is setting up peoples' computers and laptops for them. Fun fun.

 Day 74:

This flower was just a doodle. Doodle-rama. Kind of tempted to use this on cards for people's birthdays and anniversaries. :)
 Day 75:

Just another doodle. I was trying to draw some funky flowers. This one makes me think of a lollipop. Now I want some candy. Mmm... candy.
Day 76:

This flower is based on fabric flowers that I found in a craft book one day. It's a good use for scrap fabric and they look really pretty. They are quite versatile as well. :)

Catch up..

So this will be catch up with my drawings and this evening will be catch up with a friend.

Yesterday I had a wonderful afternoon with my friend Megan and her husband and son.

And tonight I will play some games with my friend.

 Day 72:

My attempt at a tulip. I like it.
Day 73:

I searched paper flowers on Google and there is this cool spiraled rose. I want to make some now. But this is the drawing that I made of it. It was fun.

But my friend has arrived so I am cutting this short.

Beautiful..

Lately it's been snowy and cold, and I needed winter tires. However, Wal-Mart is sold out of my size. Remarkable, that is when it turns beautiful outside. Today is supposed to be +5. So I parked my car and walked back to the apartment, opened the blinds and let the sunshine in. I am done a good 75% of my unpacking now. and am halfway through House Season 7.

Today my best friend, Megan, is coming to town with her husband and little son. And they are coming to see me and my new apartment. :) So I need to get to tidying up the disaster I made unpacking yesterday. Haha.

Day 71:

I really need to work on posting my drawings the day I draw them. Haha. I will however get today's drawing up this evening. (Promise)
Drew this one quickly during a break yesterday. I really like the way this one turned out.

Love...

Thank you so much to Noah Scalin for featuring me on his blog today. :) I was so excited to see it when I logged onto my Facebook today. - Make Something 365

Such love.
My husband and I spent a nice mix of evenings celebrating our 2nd anniversary. He bought me Glee Season 2 as I am an uber Gleek now. Haha. He watched every episode with me though. ;) I bought him $40 worth of PS Network cards and a car aux cable to connect his Ipod to his new Civic. It was a good couple of days.

 Day 69:

I want to try my hand at quilling someday but for right now, at least until I find my quilling papers (still packed somewhere), I drew a flower that looks quilled. I love lines. :)
Day 70:

Our actually anniversary. 2 years married. The 21st of November. This flower is dedicated to that. I'll never forget that day and how beautiful it was. No snow, great people and happiness all around. <3

Flowers:

So I attempted flowers the first time I tried creating art everyday, so let's try this again.

 Day 62:
 Day 63:
 Day 64:
 Day 65:
 Day 66:
 Day 67:
Day 68:

Nothing much to say about them all. I just doodled and drew what I knew. It has been an odd and whirlwind of a week.
And I am off to hang out and celebrate my 2nd anniversary with my wonderful husband.

Moving...

Fell horribly behind.
Chris and I moved into town.
Then I had to take my computer in to FutureShop as it was make a horrid sound and needed a new video card.

 Day 60:

Drawn on Remembrance Day. 11/11/11
Day 61:

Last day of eyes and two months of drawing everyday.

Thursday 10 November 2011

La la la...

Yesterday I went and saw Wide Mouth Mason live. (squee) They were so good. My friend and I sat in the back on a nice comfy couch. We could barely see them but we just grooved out to the awesome performance. So happy to have finally seen them live. :)

Chatted at my friend's place for a bit after the show and was super wiped when I got home but I managed to squeak out this eye.

 Day 58:

I tried out another Anime eye. I like this one better then my last one as I didn't make the iris look so life like. It's been so long since I drawn Anime eyes on a regular basis that they looks so weird to me now.
Today, I went in to get my hydro hooked up and my tenant's insurance. Bumped into an old friend that I haven't seen in 10 years and I really wouldn't have minded it staying that way but that's life. We start moving tomorrow!!! Super excited to be in our own place.

Picked up my husband today and he starts his new position next week and will be home every night depending on the roads.
He bought me Glee Season One on DVD. Yay for learning the whole story to the show. Haha.

Day 59:

Today is just a normal eye drawn by me. I like my reflections lately. And the starburst that I put in this iris.

Sleepy..

So much packing and not leaving the house, due to packing, makes a girl sleepy. To the point that I was in bed by 10:30pm. Then I remembered that I had not drawn an eye and quickly jotted one down before passing out.

Then I slept for 11 1/2 hours, which I had not planned.
Oh well. Sleep is good. :)

Day 57:

My quickly drawn, half asleep already, eye.

Only 4 more days of eyes and then something else. What shall I do? Hmm...

Signed into my Gmail account yesterday to find out that someone had been accessing it from the States. I like that Gmail notifies you right in your account. So password changed, let's see how it goes.

Monday 7 November 2011

Packing...

Roads were pure ice this morning! Holy Moly!

I went to get my key today and awesomely she gave me a key with Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter on it. Fantastic!

Received some boxes and enough wrap to wrap everything I own, fragile or not. Haha. I am trying to pack and purge my stuff at the same time.

Day 56:
This was supposed to be a tired and weary eye. I think it came out a bit more shocked. Need to work on narrowing the distance between upper and lower lids.

Need to head to bed soon to do some more packing tomorrow.

Sunday 6 November 2011

Snow..

Today we had our first snow fall. We have gotten quite a bit. I went to my friend's place that is about an hour away not knowing that it would snow so bad. Thus I had to drive home in it. It wasn't that bad though, even with the rain that had frozen. I just had to 80km/h for a comfortable ride home. Safe and sound.

Tomorrow, (well I guess it's today now), I will be taking my first months rent and the damage deposit, and get the keys for our new apartment. :) (squee)

Day 55:

I added a little blue today as I was trying to incorporate the snowy-ness of the day.

Warm wishes to everyone.

Saturday 5 November 2011

Happy Day!

I have had a smile on my face all day.

A nice lazy morning spent in bed journalling, reading and napping.
Followed by 2 very good e-mails.

1st one - From Noah Scalin thanking me for sharing this project and that'll he'll post it on his site soon. :D

2nd one - From my NEW landlord saying that we can have the apartment that I looked at yesterday. I get the keys on Monday. :)

Went for supper with my pops and then cuddled with my kitty cats while watching movies and chatting with my hubby.

Good good day.

Day 54:

I have nothing really to say about this one. I looked at some pictures looking at the reflections in the irises. And then drew away.

Smiles. :)

Friday 4 November 2011

Smile.

Lazy Friday night at home.

Went and looked at an apartment today. Yay! I really like it so I am hoping that she will consider us. It is downtown, right near the Art Gallery and Library. Nicely renovated and lots of light. Crossing my fingers and sending out my positivity into the Universe. :)

Thinking about messing around with my stained glass project this weekend. Read some stuff and see what I can do before asking my Dad to teach me how to use a soldering iron.

I have been feeling great lately. 4 days in a row of going to the gym and eating healthy. I applied for a job at a hotel as a front desk clerk. :)

So much excitement.

Day 53:

Added a little cat-eye liner to this eye today.

<3 Nicole

Thursday 3 November 2011

Meow.

Super excited that The Diving Bell and The Butterfly is on TV. I have wanted to watch it for quite a while. It's quite a motivating story.

Started looking for our own place today. I'm excited and nervous all at once.

Day 52:

As I was about to start drawing this evening, my cat Molly jumped into my lap for I drew a cat eye. Meow.
I love cat's eyes. The shape and the fact that they have two eyelids.

Wednesday 2 November 2011

Drip.. drip... drip...

I have been kind of draining lately. Staying up until wee hours of morning. I have made it to the gym 2 days in a row now though. Woot but I am exhausted. Really wish I had better internet so I could do more before 1am.

Day 51:

Tried to draw with less of a mascara'd feminine look to the eyelashes. I like it. I successfully drew a male-looking eye. Woot.

Tuesday 1 November 2011

50!!

50 days of drawing something small each day. Craziness!
I will send my information in later today to Noah. The site says that it will be backlogged a bit and that not all blogs make the site. So fingers crossed.

Spent a nice day with my friend Jon. Did some shopping, had some dinner and watched some TV. :)

Day 50:

Just the ball today. Haha. I am really liking my irises lately, though I am looking at it now as if it is too small for the eye. A little colour help too. Maybe I'll start adding colour next month. I have 11 days to figure out what I am doing next.
